Expertise

When someone is ill for a long period of time or is declared unfit for work, questions often arise that are crucial for the future: What is really going on? Can the person concerned still work, and if so, under what conditions? And how can we prevent the same complaint from recurring?

Expertise provides answers to these questions by means of thorough occupational health diagnostics. This is essential when the diagnosis is unclear, the prognosis is uncertain, or when recovery and reintegration are stagnating. An expert assesses not only the medical situation, but also what is realistically achievable in terms of work and workload.

Process

  • Occupational health diagnostics are performed with a specific focus on the work situation.
  • Five key questions are answered: Is there objective incapacity for work? Is the condition being treated adequately? What is the current work capacity and what work options are realistic? What is the prognosis for a normal recovery? What factors could delay recovery, and how can we prevent recurrence?
  • If necessary, an additional work capacity assessment is recommended (a separate quote applies for this).

Conclusion and benefits
Expertise offers clarity and guidance for employers and case managers. You know exactly where you stand, can implement targeted treatment or reintegration steps, and prevent costly relapses in sick leave. For the person concerned, it means clarity about their own situation and a realistic perspective on recovery and work prospects. This combination of medical objectivity and practical work orientation makes Expertise indispensable in complex or stagnating cases of illness.
